Dressing for a wetter, milder city
Vancouver's calendar is not Toronto's. Winters are mild but persistently damp, and evenings are cooler than the daytime almost year round. Two practical consequences when choosing a dress here:
- Fabric matters more than season. Velvet and heavier satin hold up to a cool damp evening; fine chiffon does not, however warm the afternoon felt.
- Sleeves and midi lengths get more wear than they do on the prairies — you will be walking between venues, not parking at the door.

Getting the size right the first time
There is no boutique here, so measurements do the work a fitting room would. Take them at home with our measuring guide and compare against the size chart. Between two sizes on a structured piece, size up — a seam can be taken in, but fabric cannot be added.
Returns are accepted within 14 days, so a piece can be tried at home properly.
